A message from Carleen Taylor, Founder of Race For Hope:
Please join us in the fight against colorectal cancer.
A recent Study by The American cancer Society Finds Sharp Rise in Colon Cancer and Rectal Cancer Rates Among Young Adults This is not a cancer that just occurs in people over 50. Connor our 23 year old son passed away September 2, 2016 as he was battling colorectal cancer. One of the last things he spoke to his dad was that he needed to keep hanging on. Nobody, especially young people, should be dying of this cancer. We need to continue to raise awareness in the under 50 population. There needs to be more research into how to treat this cancer. There are so many people trying to hang on right now for the next medical break through. Race For Hope is a 5k run/walk and 1 mile walk that was started in 2004 to help save lives. Race For Hope will continue Connors mission of helping others to hang on. There will be a silent auction, raffle, info tables for colorectal cancer education. Please contact Carleen at
therace4hope@gmail.com if you wouild like to become involved in the race to bring hope.
